1995 Toyota corolla repair how hard is it to?

change the thermostat1995 Toyota corolla repair how hard is it to?
It isn't normally hard at all, IF the housing is in the open where you can get at the bolts easily...but they can be a real pain when the housing is stuck between or behind something else (many new cars almost %26quot;hide%26quot; them)

If you try it, make sure you drain about 1 gallon out of the radiator first. remove two/three bolts from housing and pull off the housing. Remove thermostat, clean gasket/o ring surfaces good, put new thermostat in with new gasket/o ring. Be very careful it is %26quot;seated%26quot; in it's groove while you snug the bolts down, and DON'T over tighten...it's a %26quot;feel%26quot;.

Re-fill the radiator. Once it gets hot, let it cool a few, remove cap carefully, and top off again.1995 Toyota corolla repair how hard is it to?
Remove 2 bolts. Remove thermostat. Scrape off old gasket. Add new gasket. Add new thermostat. Tighten 2 bolts. Check and add antifreeze as needed. Drink a beer.1995 Toyota corolla repair how hard is it to?
It's easy!1995 Toyota corolla repair how hard is it to?
No biggie - just follow the large hose from the top of the radiator to the engine. The flange this hose is connected to has the t/stat under it. Remove two bolts, lift the flange housing, replace the t/stat, put it all together. Make sure the engine is cold before opening the system, and drain coolant. Don't forget to re-fill it when finished.

    1. There is no thermostat under the flange where the big hose meets the block from top of radiator.
